I have to admit Fiesta's latest update is shiny and exciting. And was almost enough to lure me right back without a question. Sadly the long list of updates made me go off and look into the new cleric skills and this entire G vs HK setup. The next big job change for clerics being the Guardian or Holy Knight...
Some things i learned:
Holy Knights: Supposedly Damage dealer cleric class...uses the mace. They get to keep all the new buff upgrades after the class change, but don't get any new Heal. So all the mace based skills will be upgraded through the HK as well as the buffs you know and love. HK specific skills are!!!
1.Purification (Holyknight) Randomly cancels 1 buff out of many buffs cast on many targets surrounding you. Lv. 110 CD: 4 Min 2.Dispel Purge (Holyknight) Cancels all buffs cast on your target. Lv. 110 CD: 4 Min 3.Deadly Blessing(Holyknight) Critical strike with 100% chance. Lv. 110 CD: 260 Sec 4.Benediction (Holyknight, Guardian or higher) Strikes a physical attack at your target. Lv. 110 CD: 1 Min
Guards: 1. Dispel Field (Guardian or higher)Cancels 1 buff randomly your enemys have. Lv. 110 CD: 5 Min 2.Dispel Pillar (Guardian or higher) Cancels all debuffs your target has. Lv. 110 CD:10 Min 3. Rebirth (Guardian or higher) Automatically and instantly resurrects your target when he/she dies. HP will be recharged 60% when revived! Lv. 110 CD: 1 Min 4. Benediction..see above....
Whoo-hoo!!! as you can see from lvls these aren't in the last patch. Being that it only raised the lvl cap to lvl 105. The rebirth skill and the hammer almost seem to make the guardian class worth it. But losing upgraded buffs..the very life blood of the cleric class in fiesta sucks to much. Sadly I am adding this to the "Outspark hates clerics so badly" list. Without any aoe and the "attack" class being forced to use maces... there is little hope. Outspark has instead decided to lean more to the "Clerics are only a support class" way of thinking. and if you can't solo at least a portion of the time in an MMO where parties are as fickle as the wind...you are doomed.
I'll admit some other classes get some kick ass skills. Mages have some that I would love to see. -nudges karli- so yeah get to lvl 120 soon!!!
I think if I went back I would need to restart as a different class, what with the cleric hate outspark has. Sadly I lack the months of time I previously toiled to make it to the lvl I left at...
I'll probably pop in as a casual fiesta player now that I've updated... but my will to lvl is gone and dead.... |

Well that is all the "skill" related information I've gathered. Can't say I've checked into what weapon the other class are allowed to use or anything else really. Here are the 8 armor pics posted on outspark's website:

so snazzy new armor, nee?
ok that aside...there are tons of new places and mobs but you've no doubt seen them. So I will leave off with my comments on the Trans classes...for now |

** I think that some of the skills were added already... so the lvls are probably not accurate...I'll check and edit them when I can |

Both of these arguments seem to me to be attempts by some fighters to use the rules to impose their views of how to fight on others, and as such indefensible. So far as novices are concerned, it is up to whoever is training them to advise them as to what weapons and fighting style work; if they choose to ignore the advice that is their concern. They might turn out to be right. I can easily enough imagine myself or others some years back informing a new fighter by the name of Paul of Bellatrix that he was doing it all wrong ("shields are for hiding behind"); perhaps if one of us had been King or Earl Marshall we could have come up with rules capable of dealing with someone who not only insisted on fighting all wrong but had the effrontery to kill us while doing so.
What about those who concede the effectiveness of the styles they dislike and wish to ban them anyway? This attitude seems to me to be based on a misunderstanding of what fighting is about. It is true that good fighting is beautiful, but its beauty comes from the fighter pursuing a particular objective (killing his opponent) in an elegant, ingenious, and effective way. To claim that because certain styles of fighting are elegant they should be required even when they do not work is ultimately to argue for converting fighting into a form of dance. This seems to me entirely undesirable. It is also directly contrary to the idea of the Society as a group of people discovering how things were done by trying to do them.
There is one exception. Our fighting corresponds in part to real medieval combat and in part to medieval tourney fighting done with blunt weapons under restrictive rules. To the extent that we are interested in reproducing the latter, it is appropriate to introduce restrictions based on the rules actually used in medieval tournament. Since these rules varied from time to time and from place to place, such restrictions are ================================== SEO Costs |SEO Prices |
